JEWELRY MAKING BASICS:
EARRINGS
Kara Evans’ jewelry classes are a huge favorite with our workshop friends. People are so excited to find out they get to choose exactly what they’d like to include in their finished pieces. Everything you make with Kara is your design and she’s there to help you with understanding how to get to the design you want!
LEARN TO KNIT!
Learn to cast on, knit, purl and finish with indie yarn dyer, lifelong knitter and instructor Laura Regan. This is a rave reviewed class and you’ll come away with all the skills you need to get a beautiful, basic project done!
LEARN ENGLISH PAPER PIECING
Create beautiful designs that can grow and grow! In this class you’ll learn to make beautiful projects with English Paper Piecing! In this beginner class, we will learn how to use non-traditional methods to achieve great results with hand-sewing.

We are now open Tuesday – Saturday 12:00 – 6:00 PM. We book classes outside these hours so check our calendar or feel free to request a class or group event anytime! We’re happy to be open if you’d like to come in!

COMMUNITY QUILTING PROJECT STATUS
The first Lancaster Community Quilt Project is complete! Please come visit this beautiful work of 48 Lancaster and Fairfield County quilting women who delivered 48 individual blocks and embroiderers who stitched each contributor’s signature. UPDATED ‘SEW A MASK’ VIDEO & TUTORIAL
Thanks to our instructor Andrea Verley for creating an updated version of our hugely popular (240K+ views) Rabbit & Rocket Sew A Mask YouTube video! The video incorporates tips and helpful options (without filter, different sizes, fabric ties) the community shared or requested. She even reviews the tools she used! The updated tips section starts at 14:30. This is the mask we teach you how to make so if you want to simply learn in person and make a couple of masks for $15 (all materials included), check our calendar to book or Request a Class!
UPDATED MASK POLICY | August 25, 2020
We adhere to State of Ohio guidelines requiring face coverings in public places. Mask-wearing while shopping at Rabbit & Rocket and during classes is required by the State Health Department. Our team has been wearing masks when teaching and will continue to do so.
If you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness (not just COVID-19), we ask that you request transfer of your class registration to a future class. We’re happy to honor rebooking for a later date.
Our Wellness Precautions: We are easily able to provide lots of distancing between students for this class, are sanitizing the space and tools between guests, and have a medical grade HEPA air filtration machine in place. This is an ever-evolving situation and we will adjust policies as updated medical guidance is available to inform our policies.
CLASSES & CIRCLES
We have dozens of classes from beginner to advanced! Check out our List of Classes if you have at least two and as many as six people in your group! If it’s just you, send me an Open Class Request and we’ll find you a partner and get the class listed for anyone to join. Welcome! Rabbit & Rocket is a gathering place for anyone who enjoys needle arts, sewing and crafting. We offer over 40+ classes you can request as a Private Class with our wonderful teachers.
Our instructors teach workshops from knitting and crochet, quilting to cross stitch, paper arts, jewelry-making, embroidery, sewing, drawing, mini loom work and more! If you’re interested in sharing what you know as a Maker Teacher, get in touch!
Rabbit & Rocket is located in Lancaster, Ohio right on Main Street. Enjoy free parking in the public lot just steps to the left of our front door!
Most everything we sell in the store is available for sale here online but we hope you’ll come by for a visit. Bring friends and beverages and spend some time together.
