They’re big, comfy and a great afternoon project that’s easy to learn and do again – Arm Knitted Throws! (Or scarves! Or pet beds!)
In this class, we will learn the basics of arm knitting. We will learn how to cast on, stitch rows, and how to tie off and/or begin a new skein of yarn.
This is an introduction class so bring as much yarn as you’d like to create the size of blanket that you wish. One skein of Jumbo yarn size 7 will yield a small blanket or pet bed approximately 14 x 20 inches, or a small scarf.
Quick note: Ask for guidance when selecting Jumbo yarn – some merino wools are said to shed a bit and ‘Jumbo’ can mean different widths depending on the manufacturer! Also, shop for your yarn at least one week prior to class – this yarn can be hard to find and you may need to order online.
You will bring a skein (or more if you like) of Jumbo size 7 yarn, purchased prior to class.
