Bring your child and learn crochet together with Nancy Baur. Our Athens, Ohio crochet and knitting expert will teach you how to make a slip knot, hold the crochet hook and yarn, create chain, single and double crochet stitches and how to fasten off when you’re finished. This class is for the true beginner and will be paced for children with a smaller format crochet bookmark project.

This is a class where you’ll both be participating in the lesson. We’ll try to keep the class to 90 minutes to keep things manageable for littles.

Students should bring crochet hooks in US Size G (5mm) or H (4mm) and worsted weight (or size 4) yarn. We have sanitized scissors you can use or feel free to bring your own along with a sense of adventure and willingness to learn!

Complete the form below to request this Private Class for a minimum of two people. If it’s just you, we’re happy to receive an Open Class Request to kick off a class others can join with you.

Mask Policy and Wellness Precautions for this Class
UPDATED July 10, 2020

Due to our county joining the Level 3 COVID Risk counties in Ohio, we will be adhering to the state guidelines requiring face coverings in public places. Mask-wearing during classes is now required for class attendees. Our team has been wearing masks when teaching and will continue to do so.

If you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness (not just COVID-19), we ask that you request transfer of your class registration to a future class. We’re happy to honor rebooking for a later date.

Our Wellness Precautions: We are easily able to provide lots of distancing between students for this class, are sanitizing the space and tools between guests, and have a medical grade HEPA air filtration machine in place.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the shop: (740) 901-3041.
