Would your child like to stitch a bunny? In this class, we will learn how to backstitch, satin stitch and split stitch. (Pssst! It’s embroidery for kids but good for adults, too!)
Your child’s instructor is Andrea Verley, a former elementary school teacher who knows how to make things easy and fun for little ones. This class is suitable for 7 – 12 year olds. We ask that an adult remain present during class (you don’t need to purchase your seat). You’re welcome to sit with your child or enjoy the cozy front sitting area with your favorite beverage.
We will supply everything that’s needed. We just need the name your child would like to give their bunny so we can print it on their fabric for stitching! You’ll be prompted for the name during checkout.
It’s unlikely the project will be finished during class but students will know how to complete their stitching at home. (And we’re here for a quick refresher if you drop in!) Each child will take home their hoop, fabric, needle and thread. The finished piece can stay in the hoop for hanging on a wall, be framed or made into a pillow!
Let’s stitch a bunny!
COVID Safety Precautions for this Class
We are easily able to provide lots of distancing between students for this class, are sanitizing the space between guests, and have a medical grade HEPA air filtration machine in place. For the near term, we are requesting all our guests wear masks during classes. We’ll take a few breaks so you can enjoy some mask-free time on our patio. We don’t know the personal circumstances of all our friends – some may have people at home they need to be mindful of – so we’re choosing to be helpful to all – especially our community’s first responders and medical workers. We have super lightweight, disposable masks you are welcome to use. If you are medically unable to wear a mask, let us know and we will work with and welcome you!
