Crochet Along: Amigurumi Rabbit
Mon May 4 @ 10:00 am - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Monday, repeating until May 4, 2020
Amigurumi is a Japanese word meaning “crochet (or knitted) stuffed animal.” Amigurumi can be of varying size and are fun to make! Join talented Columbus, Ohio-based indie yarn dyer Laura Regan of Creations 4U by Laura for a multi-week crochet along where you’ll create this adorable Amigurumi Rabbit.
This Crochet Along is something you can participate in whenever you’d like by following along with a series of videos you’ll find at our YouTube channel in a complete Playlist called Crochet Along – Amigurumi Rabbit. If you miss following along in real time each week, you can always catch up by simply going to the videos posted at our YouTube channel.
The pattern, named Josephine, is by talented crochet designer Sandrine Deveze and is in her book Sweet Crochet: A Whimsical Set of Cuddly Creatures, available for immediate Kindle download for under $10. We do not make any money from your purchase – the book is wonderful and has 15 additional Amigurumi creature patterns you’ll love. It is also available through Apple Books.
Laura used yarn from her Sassy Stash line – we have a selection of her yarns in the shop for ordering online during our temporary closure. You can use the yarn from your own stash in the weight of your choice (see below) though she suggests using a smooth yarn with little to no halo so the stitches are more visible. Laura is a self-described ‘fast crocheter’ and it took her about 10 – 15 hours to complete this project.
The video tutorials for this Crochet Along will be posted in this sequence starting Monday, April 6th until the project is completed:
