Spend a leisurely two hours learning the basics of crochet with instructors Nadine Borovicka and Nancy Baur. Our Athens, Ohio crochet and knitting experts will teach you how to make a slip knot, hold the crochet hook and yarn, create chain, single and double crochet stitches and how to fasten off when you’re finished. This class is for the true beginner or someone needing a refresher course in how to get started. A great way to spend time with friends – feel free to bring refreshments to class!

Students will leave this class with the foundational skills to begin working on simple crochet projects.

Nadine Borovicka and Nancy Baur have been teaching knitting classes together since 2016, but knitting together for much longer than that.  Their knitting and teaching styles differ, but complement each other to provide a wider range of techniques and experiences for their students.

Mask Policy and Wellness Precautions for this Class
UPDATED July 10, 2020

Due to our county joining the Level 3 COVID Risk counties in Ohio, we will be adhering to the state guidelines requiring face coverings in public places. Mask-wearing during classes is now required for class attendees. Our team has been wearing masks when teaching and will continue to do so.

If you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness (not just COVID-19), we ask that you request transfer of your class registration to a future class. We’re happy to honor rebooking for a later date.

Our Wellness Precautions: We are easily able to provide lots of distancing between students for this class, are sanitizing the space and tools between guests, and have a medical grade HEPA air filtration machine in place.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the shop: (740) 901-3041.
