Learn to Knit!
Sun August 9 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm| $55.00
Learn to knit with our Athens Knitting Guild experts Nancy Baur and Nadine Borovicka. They each knit using different styles so you’re sure to get instruction that will be helpful whether you’re a beginning knitter or trying to brush up your skills.
You’ll learn how to cast on, knit, purl, increase and decrease. The project is simple – a dish cloth! Please feel free to bring refreshments to class!
If you have never picked up a ball of yarn or if you’ve learned before and want to refresh those skills, this class will be a great experience. You’ll leave with the knowledge of how to create a useful item and with a set of skills you can use to begin knitting those holiday gifts!
We will provide you with size 7 straight bamboo knitting needles and a ball of worsted weight cotton yarn that you will take with you after class. Just bring your sense of adventure!
