***This is a 3-session class on Thursdays – March 5th, 19th, and 26th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Class fee covers all three sessions.***

Enjoy all those T-shirts you’ve gathered over the years in a quilt you’ll treasure forever! This quilt also makes a great graduation gift or keepsake for the T-shirt fan in your life. Students should have basic sewing and/or quilting skills. Full assembly and finishing of the quilt is not included in this class. See notes below.

Instructor Denise Wright will lead this three-session class. Students will bring in 6 or 9 T-shirts, depending on their preferred finished quilt size.

In the first session, we’ll learn about the process of prepping T-shirts for assembly and sewing. In the second and third sessions, students will bring their prepped T-shirts and assemble them as the top layer of the quilt.

6 T-shirts – 50 inches by 36 inches
9 T-shirts – 50 inches by 50 inches

Important Notes:  Students will create the top-portion of their quilt in this class. Full assembly and finishing of the quilt is not included in this class. Experienced quilters who would like to finish this quilt will complete the sandwiching and quilting after completion of these three sessions.  For others who wish to have the finishing done for them, we will provide a list of machine quilters in the area.  Finishing costs are dependent upon the final quilt size and can range from $50 – $200. Denise will discuss sandwiching and quilting so students understand the full process of finishing their quilt.
